Terms of Service
Draft · version 2026-09-24
1. What this is
These terms are between Bilal Malass and the business that creates a workspace on Layforma. By creating a workspace you accept them on behalf of that business.
Layforma is software for managing print jobs: requests, design approvals, quotes, payment records and production status. It is a record-keeping and communication tool.
2. What this is not
We are not a payment processor. No money passes through Layforma. When a shop records a payment, it is writing down something that happened elsewhere — cash, a bank transfer, Whish, OMT. We never hold, transfer or refund a customer’s money, and we take no commission on a shop’s work.
We are not a party to a shop’s work. The contract to design and print something is between the shop and its customer. Quotes, prices, deadlines, quality, delivery, refunds and disputes are the shop’s responsibility. A quote sent through Layforma is the shop’s quote, not ours.
We do not check what is uploaded. A shop is responsible for having the right to print what it prints, and a customer for having the right to upload what they upload.
3. Billing
Invoicing is manual. There is no card on file and nothing is charged automatically. We agree a plan with you, send an invoice, and record the payment when it arrives. Your current plan, its price and the date it runs until are shown in your shop’s settings.
Trials. A new workspace starts on a trial with reduced limits. When it ends, the shop is treated as lapsed unless a plan has been agreed.
Plan limits. Each plan sets a number of team members, a number of projects per calendar month and an amount of file storage. Reaching a limit stops the action that would exceed it and nothing else.
Prices may change on 30 days’ notice by email. A change never applies to a period already paid for.
Refunds: an unused period may be refunded within 14 days of payment.
Cancelling. Tell us and we will stop the next renewal. Access continues to the end of the period already paid for; we do not cut a shop off in the middle of a month it has paid for.
4. What happens if a subscription lapses
This is written out precisely because the effect is narrower than people expect. When a shop’s period ends without renewal:
- New work stops. The shop cannot receive a new customer request or open a new project.
- Work already under way continues. Quotes, design approvals, payment records, production updates and delivery all keep working on existing projects. A customer who has already paid a deposit is not stranded.
- Nothing becomes unreadable. Staff and customers can still open everything they could open before.
- Exporting and erasing data keep working. Those are not features of a paid plan.
- Nothing is deleted because of non-payment. Removal of a closed shop’s data is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Your responsibilities
- Keep access to your email address secure — it is how anyone signs in.
- Remove team members who leave. Access ends immediately when you remove them, but only once you do.
- Give your customers accurate information about your own prices, timings and terms.
- Use the service lawfully, and do not attempt to reach another shop’s data or disrupt the service for others.
6. Your data
Your shop’s data is yours. You can export all of it at any time from your settings, including while your subscription is lapsed, and you can delete your shop yourself. We do not use it to train anything or sell it to anyone.
For personal data — yours, your staff’s and your customers’ — see the Privacy Policy. In brief: for your customers’ data you are the controller and we act on your instructions.
7. Availability
We aim to keep Layforma available and to keep backups, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime level. Maintenance may occasionally interrupt the service.
8. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Layforma at any time. We may suspend or end an account for serious or repeated breach of these terms, or for non-payment, after telling you and giving you a reasonable chance to put it right. Where we end an account, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data first.
9. Liability
[liability terms — TO BE COMPLETED]
This section states the limits of Bilal Malass’s liability, and its wording depends on the law it is written under. It has not been drafted, and no limitation of liability should be assumed until it has been.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by [governing law — TO BE COMPLETED], and disputes are subject to [competent courts — TO BE COMPLETED].
11. Changes and contact
We will tell shops by email before these terms change materially. The version is shown at the top of this page and is recorded against your shop when you accept it.
